Ron Palmer

Geophysical & Diamond Exploration Consultant

Following postgraduate study in his native Sweden, Ron moved to Australia in the early 1990's, when he specialised in the design and management of airborne geophysical surveys. He later joined De Beers, working on various geophysical programmes throughout Australia. A two-year stint in Canada followed before he relocated in 1999 to De Beers's Botswana subsidiary to manage geophysical and other exploration campaigns. He obtained his MBA in 2001 and established a consulting company in Melbourne. Since that time he has been involved in a number of projects, many of them diamond-related. As General Manger, Exploration Ron was responsible for Savannah's field programmes from September 2006 until December 2007 including the conduct of its successful high resolution airborne magnetic surveys. In January 2008 Ron was appointed Leland's chief geophysical and diamond exploration consultant.
