The Leland Blues Project hosted the third annual Highway 61 Blues Festival on June 8, 2002 at the Leland National Guard Armory. The festival, which ran from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., featured musicians such as Willy King and the Liberators, Eddie Cusic, and more. All proceeds went to support the Highway 61 Blues Museum.
